Description: A good example of an M40 Steel helmet in semi relic condition. The shell solid and heavy with no holes & the liner band is still present, as it most of the liner which is loose inside the shell. A good example of an untouched helmet. Note .This helmet was recovered from the Elsenborn Ridge area were the December 1944 battle took place when the Germans advance into the Ardennes Forest in Belgium. It was the American front line and the only ridge where the Germans failed to advance. It is now extensively logged for agriculture with many German & Allied relics turning up. A good honest and solid example.
