Description: For your consideration is a custom made Replica AN-6513 Parachute Harness. This was the the most widely issued parachute harness for WWII bomber crews. These enabled quick attachment of the chest parachute packs. This replica was built by The Rigger Depot, the same company who made them for the Masters of the Air Apple-TV series. Built with custom woven harness webbing and 7-class stitching, this reproduction is faithfully copied from the original patterns. Just like the ones made for Masters of the Air. No detail is overlooked, from the hand-tacked shoulder connector, to the custom dyed canvas, and genuine USA Scovill snap fasteners. Complete with all part, date, and manufacturer stamped markings. 100% Made In USA. This replica has the Pioneer Parachute Co. stamp, with a June 1943 manufacture date, indicating mid-war production and slightly darker OD shade canvas. The 2nd pattern AN-6513's began rolling off the production lines circa May 1943. Darker shade canvas appeared on AAF parachute packs as early as 1942, and became more widespread by the end of 1943. The later pattern also has additional confluence wrap reinforcement stitching around the chest straps. This is found directly above and below the D-rings. This harness was only used for displays and appears in Like-new, unissued condition. Note these assemblies were not made for big people and have a max fitment of about 6 ft / 220 pounds.
